Mike Cobb is the President of 204 South Ector L.L.C.. D.B.A. Sudden Service. He began his career in the Mechanical and HVAC industry in 1974. He served a four-year apprenticeship as a Union Pipefitter at Local 629 in Lubbock Texas. He joined Honeywell Inc. in 1978. Mike studied HVAC and Controls technology at the Honeywell training facilities in Minneapolis, Minnesota. During his career at Honeywell, he was responsible for the maintenance and repair of HVAC and Control systems in all types of commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities. In the later stages of his time with Honeywell, he managed teams of technicians in West Texas and New Mexico.
In early 1984, Mike left Honeywell and started his own company in Ruidoso New Mexico. The company performed maintenance and repair of HVAC and Controls in commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities located in a small geographical area in southern New Mexico including the facilities of White Sands Missile Range and Holloman Air Force Base.
In 1999, Mike relocated the company to the Dallas, Fort Worth Metroplex in Texas. The company’s first contract customer was 1st Odyssey Group in Euless, Texas. Their corporate offices were in a multi-story office building with twenty-six rooftop package HVAC systems. Sudden Service maintained, repaired, and replaced these systems over a ten-year period. Shortly after starting a business in the DFW area, Sudden Service also entered into a three-year agreement with the City of Fort Worth. This was an agreement for HVAC repairs in all city-owned buildings. Old Dominion Freight Lines Corporate offices is another large maintenance contract customer.
President Mike Cobb is resting on 45-plus years of experience. He has seen it all and utilizes his vast knowledge and experience to provide an amazing customer service experience and quality installations and repairs.
